Description
This wall‑mounted spice rack is designed specifically for holding standard spice jars and small bottles. It is made from solid beech wood with a food‑safe mineral oil finish applied to the surface. The main structure consists of a back panel, a bottom shelf, and a front guard rail, forming three stepped tiers with heights of 6 cm, 10 cm, and 14 cm respectively from back to front. The total width is 45 cm, depth 22 cm, and height 25 cm. Each tier has a usable depth of approximately 6 cm, accommodating jars up to 5.5 cm in diameter. The front guard rail is a continuous round beech dowel placed 3.5 cm above each tier surface, preventing bottles from tipping forward when other items are retrieved. The rack is assembled with dowel joints and water‑resistant PVAc glue; no metal fasteners are visible on the outside. The back panel has two keyhole slots spaced 30 cm apart for mounting onto wall screws (two screws with wall plugs are provided). The mineral oil finish is non‑toxic and will not contaminate spice containers, but it does not create a hard protective film; oil absorption into the wood will continue over the first few weeks, and the surface may appear dry over time. Re‑oiling with food‑grade mineral oil every six months is recommended to maintain the wood. The rack holds up to nine standard 50‑gram spice tins across all three tiers when fully loaded. The total recommended weight capacity is 4.5 kg, evenly distributed across the three levels. The unit is not dishwasher‑safe and should never be submerged in water; cleaning should be done with a slightly damp cloth followed by immediate drying. The product weighs 1.3 kg unpackaged. Installation requires a 6 mm drill bit and a level. This rack is intended for indoor kitchen or pantry use only, away from direct steam from boiling kettles or stovetops, as excessive moisture may cause the joints to loosen or the wood to warp.
