This wall‑mounted display shelf features a single plank made from reclaimed fir wood, sourced from decommissioned building structures. The plank has been planed, sanded, and treated with a natural oil‑wax blend to stabilize the grain. Its dimensions are 60 cm in length, 20 cm in depth, and 2.2 cm in thickness. The wood surface shows visible knots, color variations, and minor hairline cracks that have been filled with wood filler – these are inherent characteristics of reclaimed timber and do not affect structural integrity. A continuous steel rail is fixed along the back edge, which slides onto two pre‑installed wall brackets (included). This rail‑and‑bracket system allows the shelf to sit flush against the wall without exposed screws. The wall brackets are made of cold‑rolled steel with a zinc‑plated finish and require fixing to wall studs or masonry using the supplied expansion bolts. The shelf provides a single open display area with no side guards or lip, so items placed on it must have stable bases. It is suitable for displaying framed pictures, small vases, collectible figurines, or a row of spice jars. The oil‑wax finish reduces moisture absorption but does not make the surface heat‑resistant or stain‑proof; spills should be wiped immediately. The product can support a uniformly distributed load of up to 6 kg when properly installed into solid walls. For cavity walls, the load capacity decreases significantly and must be verified with appropriate anchors. Periodic re‑application of wood oil is recommended every 12 to 18 months depending on ambient dryness. The shelf is not intended for bathroom or outdoor use due to the lack of full waterproofing.
