This wall unit is designed for bedside use, combining a small display shelf with two folding hooks mounted underneath. The main shelf is made from solid birch wood, 45 cm wide, 16 cm deep, and 2 cm thick, finished with a natural matt water‑based varnish that seals the grain without altering the light wood colour. The two folding hooks are constructed from zinc‑alloy metal with a matte black powder coating; each hook is 8 cm long and folds upward against the underside of the shelf when not in use, reducing the protrusion from 16 cm to approximately 4 cm total depth. When unfolded, the hooks swing down to a 90‑degree position and lock into place with a spring‑loaded detent mechanism. Each hook can hold up to 1.2 kg of static load, suitable for hanging a small handbag, a pair of lightweight trousers, a bathrobe, or a set of earbuds. The shelf surface provides a flat area for placing a single reading lamp (base diameter up to 14 cm), a mobile phone, a glass of water (max 500 ml), or a small book (up to A5 size). The varnish offers basic protection against dust and incidental moisture from a water glass, but it is not heat‑resistant; placing a hot beverage cup directly on the wood may leave a ring mark or dull the finish.
