Description

This entryway organization unit combines an upper display shelf, a central hanging rail, and a lower open compartment designed to hold folded umbrellas or walking sticks. The frame is constructed from kiln‑dried parawood (rubberwood) with a clear matte nitrocellulose lacquer. The overall dimensions are 55 cm in width, 25 cm in depth, and 45 cm in height. The top shelf measures 55 cm by 18 cm with a 2 cm lip on the front edge to prevent small items from sliding off; it is suitable for holding a decorative bowl, a small plant, or a set of daily vitamins. Below the shelf, a steel rod of 16 mm diameter runs horizontally across the width, fixed into both side panels with threaded inserts. This rod is rated for hanging up to four lightweight jackets or bathrobes, with a total hanging load not exceeding 6 kg, provided each hanger is placed with balanced spacing. The lower compartment has an open front with a 4 cm raised rim at the bottom, creating a shallow tray that can accommodate up to three standard folded umbrellas (length up to 30 cm when folded) or two walking canes. The base of this compartment is lined with a removable 3 mm thick EVA foam mat to absorb minor drips from wet umbrellas; however, the foam is not self‑drying and should be taken out and wiped periodically to prevent mildew. The side panels are 2.2 cm thick and contain two concealed mounting brackets on the rear face, spaced 40 cm apart, each requiring two 8 mm screws into wall studs or masonry. Supplied hardware includes expansion bolts for solid walls. The lacquer finish is resistant to normal household dust and incidental touch but is not waterproof – standing water or prolonged wet contact will cause the finish to blush or delaminate. The total empty weight is 3.2 kg. The recommended overall load is 8 kg, distributed between the top shelf and hanging rod, with the lower tray not intended for heavy objects. The unit is not freestanding and must be securely fixed to the wall; it should not be used as a handrail or support for climbing. Installation requires a level, an 8 mm drill bit, and a socket wrench for the bolts. The supplied screws are not suitable for hollow drywall without additional toggle anchors.
